(DC, MD, VA). USC/GC Only 12+ -month T2P HM Notes: This resource may need to be onsite as soon as Q1/Q2 for random meetings. Will need to come onsite with proper lead time / Will need to come in when they decide to come onsite as an organization w/ proper lead time. They know when people are engaged or not with their project. Need reliable resources and accessible resources. - Currently have a team of 2 - looking to backfill a resource. Seeking to get to a team of 5 by summertime. - Sole focus is on the mainframe initiative. We switched to a managed service - Core tech : z/OS, CICS, MQ, must see automation (Rexx or z/OS/MF), someone who can work automation tasks (not a manual role). - Day to Day Tasks: - will service the test environments, working closely with developers and testers for environments for test for automation related tasks. Partnering with the vendor (ensono) to make sure they leverage automation into their production env./checking in with the vendor to make sure all is align with SOW/KPI-s - NOT installing product, more of a configuration/change/building applications (CICS, MQ etc-) - Not looking for a MF developer - This is NOT a typical Systems Programmer / they will not be doing product installs - C onversion/migration effort from MF to Cloud, data center moves, worked with a Managed Service Provider. - Strategic meetings onsite happen RIGHT NOW. Job Description: Elite Technical is seeking a Mainframe Infrastructure Engineer with a hands-on experience building robust Mainframe environments, Scripting and process Automation experience, along with extensive knowledge of Mainframe Systems methodology and frameworks to assist with several mainframe automation initiatives. The selected candidate will be supporting various project teams and their mainframe related needs on a day-to-day basis, and will be leveraging their skills to automate configuration processes on the mainframe using toolsets listed within the required skills section. Additionally, the selected resource will be working with the MSP vendor in regards to a data center migration effort for all of the middleware and mainframe applications. Required Skills: -The position requires advance knowledge of configurating Development and Production environments comprised of the below listed components. 1. 5-10 years of z/OS Systems Programming experience. 2. CICS TS for z/OS. 3. CICS Web services. 4. MQ for z/OS. 5. DB2 for z/OS. 6. Control-M for z/OS. 7. IBM System Automation for z/OS. 8. REXX Programming. 9. z/OSMF - Working Knowledge of Workflows. - 8- 10 Years' Experience of senior Mainframe Systems Programmer background is required. - Extensive knowledge of MQ Series. - Extensive SDLC experience with some development or Systems programming experience. - Ability to analyze and trouble-shoot Mid-tier/infrastructure issues. - Very strong verbal and written communication skills (Critical). - Ability to facilitate technical requirements gathering and design sessions. - Collaborate and interpret business and technical needs. - Excellent attention to detail and quality work products (Critical). - Must be able to perform assigned tasks with minimum supervision (Critical).
