The description is listed below. This position is a bit more than a Business Analyst as it has similarities to a Implementation Manager as well. They are decommissioning parts of old systems and launching a new modernized tax system. They are looking for someone who has experience with those type of implementations and can create frameworks for the team to be able to follow in order to successfully accomplish this. It is a long-term engagement with growth potential. Largely remote, but would need the flexibility to be able to travel in if anything comes up. Lead, facilitate, and actively contribute to the development of the implementation plan for the Department of Revenue's (DOR) IT modernization project, ensuring alignment with project timelines and decommissioning objectives. Collaborate closely with the Project Manager to formulate and execute the plan, coordinating with cross-functional teams. Utilize project management tools such as Azure DevOps (ADO) and MS Teams action item boards to monitor, track, manage, and report progress on respective deliverables. Identify, document, and escalate risks and issues that may impact the project's go-live goals. Engage proactively with the vendor and DOR's cross-functional teams to ensure stability, availability, and reliability of the newly implemented Integrated Tax System (ITS). Lead root cause analysis (RCA) sessions with the vendor to address underlying issues and implement corrective measures to prevent recurrence. Define, document, and oversee incident and problem management processes, including incident identification, logging, prioritization, investigation, resolution, and escalation. Actively participate in the resolution of incidents and service requests within defined timeframes, ensuring adherence to specified service level agreements (SLAs). Identify opportunities for process enhancements and efficiency improvements across implementation planning, cutover planning, and production support activities. Ensure changes are thoroughly documented, tested, and approved prior to deployment in the production environment. Coordinate change requests and enhancement initiatives to minimize disruptions to operational workflows. Collaborate with the Project Management Office (PMO) to implement best practices and standards aimed at enhancing service delivery and fostering customer satisfaction. Qualifications: Experience in migrating or improving an enterprise's existing legacy mainframe footprint in the areas of interface, code, cost, performance, and maintainability. Proficiency in release management, including working with implementations and frameworks, and creating new frameworks that support modernization efforts. Demonstrated experience working with implementation projects and legacy transitions. Ability to plan activities and tasks for scheduled releases. Experience working with release managers and project managers. Strong ability to kick off frameworks and create new ones that support the modernization program.
