Subject Matter Expert/ ReleaseTrain Engineer / Scrum Masters facilitate daily stand-ups and supportingthe team in following the Scrum delivery process. Subject Matter Expert/Release Train Engineer / Scrum Master also handle traditional projectmanagement duties including: scope definition, staffing, communication ofstatus to clients and partners, budget oversight and risk/issue management.Additionally, they often author user stories, acceptance criteria and execute aportion of the testing on projects. The RTEis a servant leader that acts as the chief Scrum Master for an Agile Release Train (ART). CrossWorkstream alignment - Supporting the team throughout the definition of theproject scope and throughout the lifecycle of the project with cross-workstreamcoordination. ProjectGovernance - ensuring that the project is following the established governanceas outlined by the Standard. Responsible for conducting Release Planning activities for shippable softwarein alignment with increment objectives and roadmap Coordinates the merge of code for release across value streams Responsible forfacilitation of PI Planning and PI Retrospective Lead DemoReview & Preparation and Release Planning activities Responsible for leading the Scrum of Scrums ceremonies RTEscommunicate with stakeholders, escalate impediments, help manage risk, anddrive relentless improvement. Establishand communicate the annual calendars for Iterations and Program Increments(PIs) Activelyleading pre-PI planning events with SMs and Product Team to ensure PI Planningreadiness SummarizeTeam PI Objectives into Program PI Objectives and publish them for visibilityand transparency Driverelentless improvement via Inspect and Adapt workshops; assess the agility level of the ART and help themimprove Practicalunderstanding of how to scope and estimate work.
