They will still need the SQL skills and SSiS skills as well. A good fit might be a developer that has supported Oil & Gas Applications . Oii & Gas experience is a MUST HAVE. We are seeking a Senior Oil and Gas Business Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess advanced SQL experience and a strong background in asset management software, particularly Maximo or similar platforms. Experience with Open Invoice, Wellview and Aries is a plus. As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in analyzing and optimizing our oil and gas operations through data-driven insights and strategic recommendations. Responsibilities: Utilize advanced SQL skills to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from various sources within the oil and gas industry. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Conduct thorough analysis of asset management processes and identify opportunities for improvement. Develop and maintain documentation related to data analysis, business processes, and system configurations. Provide training and support to end-users on the utilization of asset management software and reporting tools. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in oil and gas operations and technology. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst within the oil and gas industry. Advanced proficiency in SQL and experience working with large datasets. Strong knowledge of asset management software, preferably Maximo, Wellview, or Aries. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets. Effective communication skills with the ability to present findings and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels. Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Must be a U.S. or Card holder and able to work onsite.
