Role :: Snowflake Date Engineer with ETL Location :: Boston , MA (Onsite) Type :: Contract Qualifications: Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and deploy ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into Snowflake Data Warehouse. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data requirements, and translate them into technical specifications for ETL workflows. Optimize and tune data pipelines for performance, scalability, and reliability, leveraging Databricks capabilities and best practices. Implement data quality checks, monitoring, and error handling mechanisms to ensure data integrity and reliability throughout the ETL process. Work closely with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and Business Analysts to understand data needs and provide technical expertise in data modeling and schema design. Continuously evaluate and adopt emerging technologies and tools to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of ETL processes and data pipelines. Document technical designs, processes, and workflows, and provide training and support to internal teams on data engineering best practices. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. Master's degree preferred. Proven experience (8 years) in designing, developing, and optimizing ETL processes and data pipelines using Snowflake and Databricks. Strong proficiency in SQL and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Scala) for data manipulation and automation. Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and schema design principles. Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and familiarity with Snowflake architecture and administration. Hands-on experience with Databricks platform, including Spark programming, cluster management, and job scheduling. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Preferred Qualifications: Certification in Snowflake or Databricks. Experience with data integration tools (e.g., Apache NiFi, Talend, Informatica). Knowledge of machine learning and advanced analytics techniques. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
