| From: Clark Adam, VKore Solutions [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Hi, Urgent role of Oracle to PostgreSQL (Postgres) Migration Architect Location: Austin, Texas (Dallas, Phoenix, New Jersey acceptable) Who are we looking for A senior level hands on database application architect to migrate Oracle DB to PostgreSQL on-prem and later to cloud. This person will work closely with senior client architects and help to develop and implement solutions, POCs, POTs (Proof of technology) to identify the right approach to migrate this complex, large volume, highly performant database from Oracle to PostgreSQL. Technical Skills: 10+ years-experience in Database architecture including with oracle 12C and oracle 19 3+ Years experience working with PostgreSQL (On prem / Cloud GCP preferred) Experience working with large and performance intensive databases. Self-starter, problem solver Leading large data migration projects end to end. Strong performance tuning skills in a very large database environment. Good knowledge in writing SQL queries and optimization Good familiarity working with Virtualized environments (IaaS and Cloud) Conversant with tools needed to migrate databases, including Ora2Pg and QLIK (or other database sync tools) Behavioral Skills: Must have superior problem-solving skills with extremely high levels of initiative and assertiveness. Effective interpersonal, team building and communication skills. Must be able to organize work efficiently and work well under stress, changing priorities, and time constraints. Ability to stand ground with senior enterprise architects. Work in a large team environment and guide the team.
