Our goal is to align the IT delivery with business strategy Therefore, we seek a motivated, talented, Scrum master to help support the lifecycle of these capabilities and help us build and deploy critical software solutions that support our Global Buying initiatives. Your core responsibilities will include: Assisting the team to clear obstacles. Establishing an environment where the team can be effective. Addressing any team dynamics and supporting the team to control outside interruptions and distractions to meet the team goals. You will work in a fast-paced environment which will challenge you to think creatively and exhibit an agile mindset. Minimum Qualification: 5-10 years of Scrum master experience (not to exceed 10 years of exp) Strong working knowledge of agile methodology, techniques, and frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban to deliver solutions Proven capability of managing multiple priorities effectively and managing stakeholder expectations in potentially high stakes situations Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization (including senior management) on issues of strategy, risk, process, and ongoing operations. Outstanding communication, facilitation, negotiation, and mentor skills Hands-on experience participating in and leading Scrum/SAFe events, such as Sprint Planning, Release Planning, and Program Increment (PI) Planning Solid understanding of Jira and Confluence. Ensures that PI goals and scope are understood by everyone on the Agile/Scrum Team Responsible for ensuring that the commitment to sprint backlog is completed Willing and able to hold the team accountable to its goals and objectives Support Product Owners to define and coordinate feature development across other teams and various IT teams to drive for results Basic Technical background or understanding of the Azure cloud computing platform is a plus Experience of managing end-to-end change process for deployment of complex custom-built applications into production within a Scaled Agile environment Experience of working cross functionally with stakeholders across the ART, shared services as well as other technical teams to create and execute plans, ensuring impediments, risks and blockers to implementation are removed Experience of co-coordinating and leading technical teams and resources, whilst being able to apply an engineering mindset and systems thinking approach Ability to act as true Servant Leader rather than directing and managing activities using persuasion rather than authority in order to achieve goals. Excellent interpersonal and group facilitation skills including the ability to work with diverse stakeholders ranging from business SMEs to technical SMEs Good understanding of source code management, CI/CD pipelines Ability to flex working hours to ensure releases have minimal business downtime Ability to manage multiple releases at a time Nice to Have: Understanding of PaaS software delivery model Familiarity with the retail industry & best practices Provides guidance, coaching, and mentoring to less experienced Scrum masters Understanding/experience of managing team environment and data requirements for build, test and deployment purposes Experience in streamlining and establishing best practices for release management and DevOps tooling to ensure the smoothest possible release to all environment levels Solid experience as a project manager/program manager/Scrum Master with dedicated agile teams using scrum/SAFe Experience in Azure cloud implementations Good understanding of desktop client applications(.Net), middleware services(Java) Certified Scrum Master (CSM) Experience with release management in an environment with a change advisory board (CAB) _______ Tim Patten |
