Title: Desktop Support Technician Lead/Manager Duration: Contract Location: Montpelier, VT (Onsite) Job Description: Manages all activities related to the staffing and operation of a deskside support team Plans, prioritizes, and schedules deskside support activities to ensure continuity of service Leads, directs, evaluates, and develops deskside staff to ensure that users receive competent and timely service Analyzes deskside support inquiries to identify recurring problems, recommend solutions, and to identify areas where deskside service can be improved Ensure that deskside support staff use and maintain problem management databases or other help desk software so that deskside support activities and performance can be monitored Develops problem solving guidelines, checklists, or other materials to assist deskside support staff to respond to user problems that are recurring or routine Evaluates Deskside Support Systems and Processes for efficiencies and recommend improvements, as needed Respond to more complex, escalated enquiries from deskside support team members SCOPE OF ROLE: Manages one or more small to medium sized teams consisting of a few disciplines. Low to Medium Complexity. Direct reports are non-exempt or exempt. Perform annual / semiannual performance reviews. Address deskside support technicians when technicians are escalated by customer. Primary Skills Customer Service Skills Excellent communication skills Team Leadership of resources in two different geographical locations Team escalation point for solving technical and administrative problems Leveraging tools such as ServiceNow to run daily, weekly, monthly report of team productivity Review and interview new candidate for new deskside support technician job openings Ensure all contract level SLAs are being met on monthly basis Ensure quality in service requests and incident management Ensure resource accountability Waiting for your response.
