We are currently seeking a meticulous and experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Tester to join our team in Austin, TX, ensuring the quality and reliability of our business processes and systems. Job Description: As a QA Tester, you will play a pivotal role in guaranteeing the integrity and efficiency of our systems through rigorous testing and analysis. Working closely with stakeholders, you will act as a liaison during analysis, requirements definition, and design activities. Additionally, you will collaborate with seasoned team members on special projects and support ongoing initiatives led by the Model Office Manager. Essential Functions: Develop comprehensive documentation of business processes and systems to guide testing procedures. Act as a primary point of contact for customers during analysis, requirements definition, and design activities, ensuring their needs are met through effective testing strategies. Collaborate with experienced team members on assigned special projects, leveraging QA expertise to drive quality outcomes. Assist the Model Office Manager with ongoing projects, particularly focusing on QA testing aspects. Conduct thorough research, analysis, and documentation tasks to inform testing methodologies. Coordinate and meet with stakeholders to identify and document business direction, high-level scope, and dependencies, aligning testing efforts accordingly. Translate business requirements into systems requirements, providing clear and defined ranges for development, with a strong emphasis on QA considerations. Utilize Selenium automation framework from scratch, integrating SpecFlow/Boa to develop automated test scripts. Perform regression, smoke, and end-to-end daily automation test runs in the CI/CD pipeline to ensure continuous integration and delivery of high-quality software. Must Have Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Extensive knowledge of QA testing principles and methodologies, with a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in the life insurance industry. Proficiency in QA testing technologies and tools, including Selenium WebDriver for automated testing, SpecFlow for behavior-driven development (BDD), and Boa for automation framework setup. Strong familiarity with agile methodology, facilitating efficient testing processes within iterative development cycles. Self-motivated with excellent task and development planning skills, ensuring QA objectives are met within project timelines. Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to thorough follow-through in all testing activities. Ability to run SQL queries to support QA testing efforts effectively. Education & Experience: Bachelors degree in computer science or related field of study. Up to 4 years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of education. Licenses & Certifications: None required. Completion of LOMA insurance courses I and II required within the first year of employment.
