Job Title: Manual Tester with strong MS Excel Location: Dallas, TX / Jersey City, NJ Essential Skills: Development and execution of comprehensive test plans and test cases to verify the functionality, usability, and performance of software applications. Manual testing to identify defects, inconsistencies, and usability issues in both web and mobile applications. Collaboration with developers, product managers, and business analysts to understand project requirements and verify their fulfillment. Documentation and reporting of defects, issues, and test results using designated bug tracking tools. Conducting regression testing to ensure software updates and changes do not introduce new defects. Exploratory testing to identify unexpected issues and usability concerns. Participation in test environment setup and data preparation activities. Contribution to the continuous improvement of the QA process and testing methodologies. Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, testing tools, and emerging trends in software quality assurance. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and quality software releases. Providing feedback and insights to improve the overall user experience and software quality. Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). Proven experience as a Manual QA Tester, including designing and executing test cases. Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, quality assurance processes, and defect tracking. Familiarity with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla) and test management systems. Attention to detail and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality software. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet project deadlines. Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills to identify and document defects and issues. Knowledge of web and mobile application testing on various platforms and browsers. Experience with different testing types, such as functional, regression, usability, and compatibility testing. Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) is a plus.
