| Title: Release Management Engineer Client: Domain- Networking equipment company Location: Onsite in Bay Area , On-Site Preferred, may consider Hybrid for a local candidate Duration: 6+ Month C2H Interview: Must be able to interview with team onsite. Interview process would start with 2-3 video interviews Job description- Release Management Engineer (Other titles could be: Release Engineer, Release Manager, Build Engineer, Configuration Manager, Scrum Master, etc) Stable Job History preferred a candidate who will make a long-term commitment. Hands-On (not a people manager role) Job Description: Maintain and monitor software builds, and help design the infrastructure that supports software. Conduct, manage, deliver all software releases - Plan release of project deliverables. Engineer and release new solutions - Plan, build, test, prepare, and deploy software updates; Plan, schedule, and control software development and test engineering processes; test coordination and implementation. M anage changes within the scope of a release. Continuous integration, infrastructure, and scrum. Review code and develop lines from programs source code - Research open-source code, review product goals, report to management. Create templates and procedures, and implement escalation and support frameworks. QA by working with development and teams to clarify and document specification requirements, manage QA and test environments, and identify and resolve defects. Configuration Management with changes & tracking versions of systems. Mitigate and manage risks, resolve issues, ensure quality. Manage software release process from concept to deliverables/ from development to deployment. Ensure compliance with quality standards and customer expectations. Collaborate with and communicate crucial release plans to QA and Development Departments. Liaise with all stakeholders (QA, Build, DevOps, Development, Management, Operations, Data, Product, and Project Managers, and IT) to manage any issues, requests and conflicts. ( Interface with Application Development, Server Infrastructure, and Change Management to understand current procedures and identify areas for process improvement.). May assist with IT to leverage infrastructure, such as help to install software components across different layers, including middle-tier, database, reporting, and document management. Join or help manage scrum meetings as announced; conduct release readiness and milestone reviews. Weekly release reporting to leadership team and to executive management. Required/Desired: QA Methodologies, software development lifecycle, release management, continuous integration. Automation, Manual Testing, Regression, Test Cases & Plans, Cloud technologies. (migration/implementation). Smoke test, static analysis runs. Jira, Confluence, or similar tools. Jenkins, Docker, Containers, Web Services, MicroServices, WebDriver. Linux. Rest APIs. AWS, Azure, or GCP. Agile or Waterfall, or similar methodologies management. Python, Java, Selenium, full-stack technologies. Networking, Security, Packets, Wire Shark, IXIA, Operations experience. Must be able to manage change and communicate effectively with team and stakeholders. Able to prioritize and manage time effectively to meet deadlines. Continued studies to stay apprised of ever-changing technical processes, methods, tools. 5-6+ Years Experience. Excellent Communication skills verbal, written, technical. (Strong documentation skills.). BSCS or Equivalent experience.
