Position Responsibilities:

As a Salesforce DevOps Engineer supporting CMS, you will be trusted to lead the Salesforce DevOps strategy, including but not limited to: source code control, continuous integration / continuous delivery (CI/CD), testing, monitoring, and automation of Salesforce deployments using Copado. In this role, a typical day will include:

Setting-up the CD/CI pipeline and environment from scratch, using Copado and related tools.

Having a daily impact overseeing the DevOps release process for the Salesforce instance and assisting our developers throughout their release process.

Deeply understanding our release process, thinking strategically about continuous improvement and automation that enables our developers to release efficiently and on-time.

Ensuring code delivery through the development lifecycle is simple, seamless, and consistent, and providing long-term resolutions and an overall roadmap for the completion of this process.

Developing, maintaining and advancing our CI/CD pipeline.

Maintaining GIT,BITBucket repositories and deploying of all the software releases.

Supporting post deployment activities, including knowledge transfer, process documentation and application bug fixes.

Collaborating with team members to ensure safe and secure environments for development, quality assurance, user acceptance testing, and deployment.

Acting as a single point of contact to plan, coordinate, and oversee our releases, patches, and emergency change requests.

Release Management Activities

This role will be performing release management activities using our CI/CD tool, Copado.

Coordinate planning, scheduling, preparation, execution and validation of all approved deployments for the Comerica Salesforce Orgs

Must know how to package and deploy metadata components, knowledge on release branching strategies, code merging and should have worked on conflict resolution strategies.

Initiate, prepare and coordinate approvals (including any partner tasks and associated materials) for all changes that require approval.

Ensure timely preparation, review and approvals of deployment playbook content, schedule and lead deployment sessions.

Represent both core CRM and nCino deployment requests at weekly Change Approval Board (CAB) meetings.

Maintain the published Platform release schedule and include all contributor team in the regular review meetings. Surface potential conflicts (technical, scheduling, etc.) promptly for resolution/mitigation.

Maintain awareness of scheduled/pending actions in all environments (all Comerica and vendor systems, infrastructure, applications, data, etc.) that may affect the Platform., and respond proactively to pre-empt/mitigate impacts.

Observe and fulfill all process requirements, including but not limited to CAB requirements, as applicable to Platform deployment and operations.

Knowledge on release branching strategies, code merging and conflict resolution strategies with Bitbucket and Copado.

Maintain sandboxes pipeline and ensure that all the environments in the pipeline is updated after a release.

Support Sandboxes seeding for the QA Team.

Configuring Code Scanning Tools in Copado.

Ensure appropriate resources are available and communicate deployment status as necessary.

Keep platform current with the native platform releases from Salesforce.com- behind on this, one of the issues weve received complaints on. I do expect him to maintain platform.

As a specialist of a tool, you must act a leader to support, train other team members if they are facing any issues in the deployment of their releases/project streams.

Position Qualifications:

Qualifications: A Math, Science, or Engineering degree, or a high school diploma with 12 years in tech.

Problem-Solving: 6 years of crafting solutions for complex issues, assessing solution impacts.

Salesforce Expertise: 3 years in Salesforce release management, 8+ years as a Salesforce Admin/Developer, including 6+ years in deployment and DevOps, with CI/CD and integration knowledge.

Certifications: Copado Admin and Developer certifications required.

Technical Skills: Proficient in Copado, Git, Jenkins, BitBucket, GitHub, Ant, etc., for version control and DevOps pipelines.

Management Skills: Capable of time management, multitasking, and meticulous attention to detail under pressure.

Experience: Implemented Salesforce DevOps pipelines, adept in code deployment and conflict resolution, and experienced in Salesforce configuration management.

Implemented complex Salesforce DevOps pipeline for Salesforce releases with Copado

Excellent knowledge in code deployment version conflict resolution

Mastery of advanced Git (e.g. conflict resolution, cherry-picking, rebasing), one or more popular CICD tools

Experience with Salesforce configuration such as managing users, profiles and permission sets
