Role: Sr. MS SQL DBA Location: Albany, New York Duration: 30 Months Job ID: HBITS-05-13403 Client: NY State Description Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server database instances. Troubleshoot problems and provide technical explanations. Host\\lead meetings in a group environment. Duties Install, configure, administer, and manage MS SQL Server databases including high availability and disaster recovery configurations. Assist in Developing and implementing appropriate high availability and disaster recovery solutions. Perform regular backups and ensure recovery solutions are in place and regularly kept updated utilizing approved ITS/MSSQL team approved backup tools. Monitor performance of database servers, listeners, and other related processes, optimize performance of databases, tune applications, server resources CPU, memory, storage, network, etc. Ensure appropriate security protocols in line with ITS guidelines and known best practices are in place, patches are applied on all database environments. Perform capacity planning and storage space management. Create and maintain documentation for all major installation and implementation. Explore, actively support, and work on new technology initiatives, much beyond the database world that may be of interest to the Organization. Actively participate and contribute to troubleshooting and alleviating any issues that group may have. Actively take a lead in analysing SQL database performance issues. Provide production support including off hour support and help application debugging. Interact with database vendors for Support and resolution of issues. Mandatory Requirements Experience (10+ Years) Database Administrator Uses specialized software to store and organize data, which may include capacity planning, installation, configuration, database design, migration, performance monitoring, security, and troubleshooting, as well as backup and data recovery. Requirements This is an 100% Onsite 84 months experience as a SQL Server Database Administrator 84 months experience in designing, installing, and maintaining High Availability and Disaster Recovery Solution on MS-Windows and SQL Server clustered environments. 84 months experience tuning, monitoring, troubleshooting and baselining SQL Server database performance. 84 months experience with SQL Server Transact-SQL(T-SQL) 48 months experience configuring and providing DBA support for databases hosted on Microsoft Azure Database Services 60 months experience designing, installing, and maintaining Microsoft SQL Server SSIS/SSAS/SSRS Services. 60 months MS-Windows Server/System Administration experience 60 months Experience supporting Microsoft Dynamics CRM software. 60 months experience in working with scripting tools like PowerShell. MCSA (Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist) or above in SQL Server 2012/2014/2016/2019/2022 Rsum Please include copies of qualifying degrees/certificates.
