Role: DB2 Database Administrator SME Duration: 12 Months Location: Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid - 3 days) Job Description: The DB2 Administrator is responsible for the installation and maintenance of database management systems (DBMS) such as DB2, Snowflake, MySQL, SQL, and Postgres servers. Perform database installation, configuration, and maintenance tasks. Monitor and optimize database performance, ensuring efficient operations. Performance and capacity tuning of system parameters and resources, utilizing various monitoring and reporting tools. Perform problem analysis and resolution, both technical and application-related Implement and maintain database security policies and procedures. Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues on time. Collaborate with development teams to support database requirements for applications. Plan and execute database backup and recovery strategies. Stay updated on industry best practices and new features in DB2. Qualifications Hands-on experience as DBA in supporting applications using database DB2 products. Strong experience in Installation and configuration of Databases, Backup, restoring databases, setting up High Availability, Disaster recovery, performance tuning, RAC administration, regular Housekeeping, etc. Strong knowledge of database security principles and best practices Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Relevant certifications (e.g., IBM Certified Database Administrator) are a plus. Primary Skills- IBM DB2 Secondary- Snowflake, SQL Server, MySQL, Postgres Database Location Requirement - Los Angeles (3 days/week onsite) Awaiting your quick response. Thanks! P.S.
