Senior AWS DevOps Engineer Work Location: Remote Job Description: As a Senior AWS DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure on the Amazon Web Services platform. You will work closely with our development and operations teams to automate processes, streamline deployments, and ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our cloud-based applications. Responsibilities: Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS, including compute, storage, networking, and security services. Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes. Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation. Configure and manage containerized applications using Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes. Monitor and optimize system performance, resource utilization, and cost efficiency on AWS. Implement and maintain security best practices, including access control, encryption, and compliance. Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot issues, optimize application performance, and ensure scalability. Participate in on-call rotation and respond to incidents to ensure uptime and availability of services. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 5+ years of experience working as a DevOps Engineer, preferably with a focus on AWS. Strong experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, and VPC. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell. Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet. Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline. Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. Solid understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and cloud architecture patterns.
