PLEASE SHARE ONLY EX-AMEX / AMERICAN EXPRESS PROFILES Title: Big Data with Java Location: Phoenix, AZ (onsite) Terms: Contract Job Details: Skills: Hive, Java, Python, Hadoop / HDFS Requirements: The ideal candidate has 8+ years of recent hands-on experience on an agile development team of building big data capabilities with Apache Spark, and HIVE on Java. Demonstrated experience in Agile development, application design, software development, and testing. Development experience in a Java and Scala development stack is essential. Experience in API development and Microservices. Working HDFS, Spark/Scala Map Reduce, and Hive. Knowledge of Java/J2ee, MySQL, REST, Microservices, design patterns, and Spring boot. Experience in developing the Rest API and Microservices. In-depth knowledge of HTTP, HTTP Proxies, web servers, and API Gateways like Apigee. Good understanding of CI/CD processes leveraging Jenkins, SBT, XLR, and Maven. Understanding of NoSQL, Messaging, and caching products such as Kafka, and HBase is a plus. Ability to implement scalable, high-performing, secure, highly available solutions. Excellent communication skills, enthusiasm, and ability to ask questions, and understand business value. Knowledge of professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
