We ensure application and end user functions are delivered on a scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure composed of seamlessly integrated datacenter, network, compute, cloud, storage, and database functions. Our mainframe team is a technology enabler for the business by providing a strong, resilient, and stable platform to host and enable business innovation/growth in our lines of business and global locations. The team consists of experienced administration, operations and engineering staff required to support the platform. The mainframe engineers work with the latest hardware and software technologies. The IBM z platform and the mainframe disk and tape technologies are frequently refreshed across our datacenters. The Mainframe CICS Systems Programmer is responsible for all phases of CICS engineering, system and software maintenance, and CICS related operation functions. In order to be considered for this role you must be comfortable working with CICS (and MQ) in an enterprise scale Sysplex and CICSPlex environment. The CICS engineer must have strong analytical, organizational and communication skills, as well as in-depth knowledge in CICS performance & tuning, debugging and dump analysis. Performance and tuning Application support Expert CICS side Systems programming, Installing CICS New code will be reviewed by SME (new transactions, new files ) Nice to have REXX They dont want someone who is coming out of an environment who is decommissioning, moving away from Mainframe Required experience : A minimum of ten years working as a CICS Systems Programmer / Engineer Knowledge of all CICS parameters that control performance in a CICSPlex environment. Knowledge of SMP/E, software upgrade and maintenance In depth knowledge of CICS SMF record structure and the CICS Performance Analyzer tool to gather statistics for tuning CICS regions Experience with CICSPlex SM implementation & customization, dynamic transaction routing, etc. Ability to perform problem determination, dump analysis and performance tuning. Experienced with the CICS monitoring tools Sysview. Knowledge of Cobol to support application developers. Experience with Mainframe WebSphere MQ Desired / preferred experience Assembler and COBOL coding and knowledge of CICS Exits Web application support in a CICS TS V5 environment Knowledge of zOS facilities such as: APF, Linklist, VSAM, LPA, Coupling Facility Experience with CICS Interdependency Analyzer tool.
