Technical Lead (Data Engineer) Microservices Location: HYBRID HOUSTON, TX Job type: Contract Job description We are seeking a Technical Lead with expertise in microservices and mathematical and statistical models. This role focuses on leading the transformation of refactoring mathematical/statistical modules into optimized, scalable, reusable microservices. Responsibilities: Oversee the transformation and refactoring of modules into scalable, efficient microservices using Databricks. Adapt microservices architecture to support the deployment and optimization of complex mathematical and statistical models. Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables effectively. Facilitate stakeholder communication and ensure alignment with project goals. Transfer essential domain knowledge to the project team. Requirements: Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. Demonstrated leadership in data engineering, with a focus on microservices architecture and mathematical and statistical models. Expertise in using Databricks for designing and managing scalable microservices. Proficient in API management, especially in environments utilizing complex computations. Strong skills in Python, Java, or Scala, and in mathematical and statistical libraries. Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and other containerization and orchestration technologies. Experience with Databricks, CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment tools.
