Job Title: Network Engineer Location: Houston- Onsite Duration: 6+ Months Hire Method: Video Visa: USC and GC Duration: 2-3 months (temporary assignment) Project Objective: The successful candidate will play a critical role in combining networks as part of our ongoing merger and acquisition process. The primary outcome is to seamlessly integrate the network infrastructure of two separate companies/domains. Responsibilities: 1. Network Assessment and Planning: o Evaluate existing network architectures of both companies. o Identify areas for consolidation, optimization, and streamlining. o Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope and objectives. 2. Network Integration: o Design and implement strategies to merge network components, including routers, switches, and firewalls. o Ensure seamless connectivity between previously separate networks. o Address any compatibility issues arising from different network configurations. 3. Security and Access Control: o Establish secure communication channels between merged networks. o Implement access controls, firewall rules, and VPN configurations. o Monitor network traffic for anomalies during the transition. 4. Documentation and Reporting: o Maintain detailed documentation of network changes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps. o Provide regular progress reports to project stakeholders. Qualifications: Experience: o Minimum of 5 years in a Cisco Meraki environment. o Minimum of 5 years in an AWS environment. o Proven track record of successfully joining networks from separate companies or domains. o Familiarity with AWS Transit Gateways. Technical Skills: o In-depth knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP). o Proficiency in configuring and managing network hardware. o Strong problem-solving abilities. o Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Education and Certifications: o Bachelors degree in computer science or related field. o Relevant certifications such as CCNA or CCNP.
