Our Mission Systems Business is looking for Sr. Prin Eng, Software Engineer for that can be located anywhere in the US being a remote role. Here you will create robust data pipelines and applications that provide business insights across Mission Systems to promote data driven decision making. In this role you would be responsible for shaping Mission Systems DevOps strategy, creating and sustaining data pipelines, creating shop floor applications with Ignition, pulling together data for all 30+ Mission Systems Sites, consulting with sites on their application, data and analytics needs including use of AI/ML where applicable, work with our enterprise data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, SAP), Lead and work on projects using an Agile methodology.

This role will be performed REMOTE from any Collins Aerospace location either domestic or remote.

Primary Responsibilities:

Lead Software Development strategy & projects to align the Mission Systems sites and partner with Enterprise Operations initiatives.
Lead the strategy and development of tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Ignition to create visualizations that support Mission Systems Operations
Lead the strategy and development of Databricks solutions and other tools for data engineering pipelines and AI/ML use cases.
Partner with all levels of the organization to understand data that is important to operations to create meaningful insights.
Mentor Junior team members on Data Engineering and Software Development best practices
Utilize and promote Agile methodology (Jira)

Qualifications/ Experience Needed:

Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
