| UX Product Design Research with Insurance domain must Remote Visa: USC, GC and GC-EAD only Duration: 6+ months contract ONLY want Product Researcher types, who have experience researching Consumer Services (B2C) or Insurance researching "new product growth opportunities". Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred. 7 years of experience advocating for users at an organizational level with P&C Insurance preferred/Insurance Domain Required. 5 years of Product Design experience required. 2 years of experience collaborating with cross fuctional teams preferred. Experience working with UX Research/Human Centered Design/ Design Thinking, and/or Agile teams preferred. Job Specific Technical Skills & Competencies: Outstanding communication, organization, time management and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with a wide range of innovation methods and tools, ability to determine or develop appropriate method for a given need. Experience in study design, scoping, conducting user research, and analysis. Proven ability to instill empathy as a core value within an team's culture Leading new product ventures for the Homeowners Insurance domain 80% Ideation phase new product research (define it, test it, map assumptions/ unknowns, diary study, qualitative analysis, map out journey, etc) Creating value propositions using Human-Centered Design Thinking Extensive experience collaborating on corporate product initiatives with a lean start-up approach Experience creating the data that helps client make decisions about possible new products and pitch research to UX, Marketing, and Product teams You are fascinated and motivated by people and learning, and will bring that energy to lead the creation of new human-centered offerings as part of Personal Insurances New Ventures team. With design thinking, you will guide teams in reframing their view of the status quo to unlock new potential. You value and seek out diverse perspectives from potential customers, teammates, and experts. You are a listener and synthesizer. Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities Serves as the lead for new venture building initiatives through human centered design; facilitates internal teams and manages external partners. Plans, conducts, and analyzes primary user research. Conducts secondary and competitive research and analysis when appropriate. Navigates ambiguity and reduces risk through rapid experimentation to inform assumptions. Helps to create a dynamic team environment by fostering empathy, collaboration, experimentation, agility, and vigorous inquiry, while maintaining high expectations and attention to detail. Oversees delivery of artifacts that include innovation platforms, user insights, concept prototypes, and investment pitches within project timelines and budgets. Performs other duties as needed to advance innovation efforts. Helps to create and evolve design principals, and best practices that account for user needs and context, while reinforcing brand values.
