| From: ATI Team, Aspire [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] POSITION : IT Technical Writer / Systems Analyst (Min 10+yrs Exp ) HYBRID (Locals to Richmond, VA only or within 50 miles from Richmond) Duration: 12Months + Address: Richmond, VA 23219 VDOT IT Technical Writer / Systems Analyst *Local Richmond, VA candidates only please *Candidate must also be able to work onsite 2-3 days/week. *Contractor will be responsible for purchasing parking through Parking Management Office or procuring their own parking *assignment will be extended beyond 6/30/24, probably 12+ months or more seeking a Technical Writer / System Analyst to work as a key member of the Design and Planning Team for IT network infrastructure projects. This role will work closely with the PMO office and be responsible for documenting procedures via job aids, templates, forms, flow diagrams, and presentation decks. They will create, update training programs, and conduct trainings as required. Responsibilities include analyzing problems; documenting business processes; developing requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria; and managing requirements traceability and testing.It is a fast-paced organization with very high standards for work quality and efficiency. This position is expected to handle multiple projects, and remain flexible and productive, despite changing priorities and processes. Ongoing improvement and efficiency is a part of our culture and each team member is expected to proactively contribute to process improvements. RESPONSIBILITIES: Create and update job aids, templates, forms, flow diagrams and presentation decks on the subject of technology project management and the methodologies Consult with other members of the PMO and subject matter experts within the organization to develop content for documentation and training programs. Work with the Project team members and business stakeholders to understand business processes and pain points Develop expertise in the customers business applications Conduct Root Cause Analysis to identify system gaps and deficiencies that require a business, technical or blended approach for resolution Diagram current processes and proposed modifications using process flows, context diagrams and data flow diagrams Discover and document requirements and user stories with a focus on improving both business and technical processing Decompose requirements into Epics and Features and create clear and concise user stories that are easy to understand and implement by technical staff Utilize progressive elaboration; map stories to technical design specifications to be used by internal staff to develop the system modifications Identify and group related user stories into Themes, document the dependencies and associated business processes Assist Product Owner in maintaining the product backlog Create conceptual prototypes and mock-ups Propose alternative solutions that balance cost and benefit, and adequately test a solutions feasibility for business and technical compatibility Collaborate with staff, vendors, consultants, and contractors as they are engaged on tasks to formulate, detail and test potential and implemented solutions. Perform Quality Analyst functions such as defining test objectives, test plans and test cases, and executing test cases (including regression testing) Coordinate and Facilitate User Acceptance Testing with Business and ensure Project Managers/Scrum Masters are informed of the progress KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Strong background in technology project management. Strong experience in creating written documentation including update job aids, templates, forms, flow diagrams and presentation decks. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills. Exceptional interpersonal skills for collaborating. Ability to plan in a rapidly changing environment and to provide guidance for changes as required. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the demonstrated ability to simplify and briefly, succinctly communicate complex issues to multiple audiences. Exceptional knowledge of both Agile and Waterfall project management principles and practices. QUALIFICATIONS The candidate should have 10 years of overall IT experience with emphasis on technology project management. The candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of experience creating procedure documentation such as job aids, templates, forms, flow diagrams and presentation decks. The candidate must be proficient in written communication tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio. 5+ years of experience as an Agile Business Analyst; strong understanding of Scrum concepts and methodology .
