Healthcare Business Analyst Contract Duration :- 6+ Months USC or GC preferred JP 690 Sr Business Analyst This role is 100% remote, but candidates need to be available for support M-F from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in an approved conversion State- Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. Candidates need to have Healthcare Experience is required. Candidates need to have strong Elicit experience, to elicit requirements from stakeholders. Candidates need to understand Healthcare Claims and Recovery Candidates need to be able to identify what is needed in detail from the business and work with a solutions architect on a plan to complete while keeping on time and within scope. Candidates need to understand the Software Development Process and have experience with RTM. Experience with Agile, Confluence, and IIBA (International Institute of Business Analytics) is preferred. Healthcare Provider experience is a plus. This role supports large-scale transformation projects and will work with Care Management, Utilization Management, Actuary, Prior Authorization, Medical Policy, Vendors, and Finance teams. These projects are broader than EDI transactions. MS Teams will be utilized for meetings, EXCEL is utilized for Requirement Templates, and ALM is utilized for Traceability. This role is writing Functional/Non Functional Requirements in Excel Templates. Candidates need to be able to adjust to change and manage multiple projects at once. looking for candidates with details on prior projects utilizing Healthcare terminology. Elicit, analyze, document and manage requirements for changes to business processes, policies, information, and information systems for larger and/or more complex business problems. Develop and elicit requirements for departmental and corporate projects that are more complex in nature as requested by internal/external customers; prepare business and functional requirements. Communicate and validate requirements with stakeholders and identified SMEs. Ensure the creation of and adherence to a requirements approach and management plan in alignment with an overall project plan. Collaborate with project teams to adhere to the solution's scope and create and maintain traceability of requirements. Drive and execute business readiness activities including the communication plan to support changes to technology, processes and people. Support training and conduct focused analysis to ensure efficiency of project implementations and ensure desired results. Develop and maintain reporting tools for measuring business area performance against metrics/industry benchmarks and ensuring data integrity and system stability in support of operations management. Provide timely and accurate access to data, distribute reports, and present/explain results to the business area supported and to other BCBSNC areas. Work with trainers to develop training programs that target problem areas. Use and promote industry standard analysis techniques, such a data flow modeling, use-case analysis, workflow analysis, business process mapping, functional decomposition analysis and/or financial ROI modeling for larger and more complex initiatives. Independently create effective presentations for review by varied levels of leadership; thoroughly document all analysis assumptions, procedures and results in a manner appropriate for both senior executive and management review. Proactively identify areas of potential business risk, on projects both within and outside of control, make recommendations related to mitigation and escalate as necessary Build and support strong business vendor relationships by documenting business issues, determining project needs, and supporting training as needed. Provide oversight and regularly perform peer reviews for less experienced analysts. Hiring Requirements Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required) 5+ years of experience in related field.
