| Role : Sr. data scientist! Location: Malvern, PA Onsite/Hybrid Job Description: Responsibilities Develops queries and performs extensive programming to access, transform, and prepare data for modeling using Python. Performs deep dive diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics to support data-driven business decision making. Identifies and diagnoses data inconsistencies and errors, documents data assumptions, and forages to fill data gaps. Engages with internal stakeholders to understand and probe business processes to develop hypotheses. Brings structure to requests and translates requirements into an analytic approach. Guides test design, research design, and model validation. Provides statistical consultation services. Serves as the analytics expert on cross functional teams for large strategic initiatives and contributes to the growth of the Vanguard analytic community. Prepares and delivers insight presentations and action recommendations. Communicates complex analytical findings and implications to business partners. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned. Provide support for complex systems and applications, deploying new systems, maintaining, migrating, upgrading, and improving the long-term performance of the systems. Perform as a software developer and integrator as part of a development team. Develop Machine Learning (ML) applications. Possess abilities to be able to work on applications or solutions engineering teams. Develop, integrate, and test software to ensure proper operation of software systems. Integrate a wide variety of applications from various sources and ensure they meet performance standards for stability and resource utilization. Tech Stack: Bachelors or masters degree in Data Science Statistics, or related field Familiarity with machine learning techniques and algorithms Excellent Communication and presentation skills Programing languages: Python, R Database technologies: SQL, No SQL Big Data solutions: Spark, Hadoop Data Visualization: Tableau, Jupyter Notebooks Nice to have: Good understanding of AWS SageMaker Familiarity with AWS Lambdas, EMR, Glue Previous experience in a similar role within the financial sector.
