Position : Redhat/Linux System Administrator Location : Hybrid ONSITE (Indianapolis, IN), must be a local candidate Duration: 12+ Month contract Visa :USC/GC Interview mode: : video Job Description In this role, you'll be supporting a Linux Red Hat environment, VMware, and HPE storage environment. This role is hybrid, mostly remote but with as-needed site visits and occasional on-call requirements. You'll be working 4 days a week/32 hours and will have the opportunity to supplement additional hours when the other team member is out/needing additional support. 70% of your time will be spent managing problem tickets and service requests. Red Hat related tickets will include hardware troubleshooting, contacting OEM vendors for warranties, managing and updating Linux operating systems, completing data backups daily, ensuring file system shares are backed up successfully, setting up and removing users, installing patches, etc. You'll be handling similar trouble tickets related to VMware and enterprise HP storage devices relevant to installations, configurations, managing environments, installing critical operating system patches, etc. Another 10% of your time will be spent on basic user administration tasks, doing routine audits of software and proactively looking at capacity planning for Linux VMware and Storage. Another 5% of your time will be responding to software alerts, and the rest of your time will be spent monitoring all 3 environments proactively. Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Technology, or a related field OR 4+ years of professional experience as a RedHat/Linux Administrator Experience configuring, managing, and updating Linux operating systems and installing patches Must have experience with Red Hat software Experience installing, configuring, managing, and updating VMware technologies Familiar with troubleshooting and supporting HPE storage environments/products Prior experience in an enterprise environment VMWare experience - ticketing, troubleshooting, support, configuration HP Storage experience Thanks and Regards MD AFTAB ALAM US IT Recruiter ConvexTech Inc.
