| Share resume to [email protected] Need exp with Mangolia / AEM and integrated with Astro Framework . Role : Web Developer Oakland, CA (Hybrid) 6-12 months project. Out of CA too, if OK to relocate and have exp with Mangolia / AEM and integrated with Astro Framework. The Senior Web Developer is responsible for providing advanced level contribution in the analysis, design, development, and implementation of a modernized and accessible Alameda County Treasurer- Tax Collector's property tax portal. We are building on a Java-based headless CMS, Magnolia, integrated with Astro Framework and Storybook and integrating with back-office property tax systems to provide services to our county constituents. This project is expected to last 5-6 months. The project sponsor may elect to approve additional features to be incorporated, which could result in a project extension. Job Duties include : Develop responsive web components that integrate with the CMS and design system. Ensure the web components are accessible. Work closely with the UX/UI designers Conduct usability testing Create and maintain technical documentation through GitHub. Manage work in GitHub and Asana Deploy work through CI/CD pipelines. Create custom CMS integrations. Collaborate and communicate with client stakeholders, project managers, and developers. Optimize and maintain code and deployed websites. Utilizing SharePoint Online Provide after-hours support when needed. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Knowledge of : Frontend technologies & architecture in large-scale applications using web components. Working with content management systems (CMS) Working with headless CMS preferred (example: AEM, Magnolia, or similar) Experience with JAM stack architecture Working with git-based mono repo codebase Deploying code and understanding infrastructure (CI/CD pipelines) JavaScript expertise to build decoupled, testable, and maintainable frontends. Cloud Architecture in Azure or AWS (cloud-native technologies), containers, Docker, Kubernetes, and PostgreSQL is a plus Web application development using RESTful services Having worked on or with a design system Automated unit testing - frameworks like Jest, vitest, etc. Scaling front-end engineering through component-driven development - delivering reusable modules and efficient web applications. Ability To Learn and use new and emerging web technology applications, tools, and frameworks related to front-end development and testing. Communicate effectively orally and in writing. Take initiative. Analyze and problem solve. Make effective decisions. Manage projects; prepare, maintain, and manage project plans and documentation. Organize and prioritize workload. Direct and lead the work of subordinate personnel. Work effectively with others both inside and outside the department. Communicate technical concepts, problem solutions, and project progress in a clear manner to interested parties. Respond quickly and effectively to customer needs, proactively and reactively. Maintain the highest level of service to internal customers and the public. Document current and future procedures and processes. Lift up to 50 pounds; lift and carry computer hardware, including but not limited to; routers, switches, cables, and servers. PREFERRED/DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS 5+ years of experience in responsive design with JavaScript (NodeJS), CSS(3), HTML(5), jQuery Intermediate Nodejs expertise is ok Java experience (nice to have) - integrating frontend web apps with Java . Expertise with VUE and React for future work is desired.
