Senior Database Engineer (Mongo) 12 months Charlotte, NC, Columbus, OH, Dallas, TX, Des Moines, IA, Minneapolis, MN Raleigh, NC, San Antonio, TX or St. Louis, MO (Need only these locations candidates) Onsite USC Only Phone/Skype 10+ experience as a lead with Mongo database Required Skills : Lead or participate in database management activities including designing highly complex logical and physical databases Lead highly complex data modeling, mapping, integration, and capacity planning efforts Perform the planning, research, design, implementation, maintenance, and control of server class databases Design and implement security solutions including Center for Internet Security benchmarks and auditing Design and certify next generation database technologies Consult with and advise management and multiple clients on high impact data or database management issues, influencing strategic direction Provide technical leadership and recommendation into the future direction of database technology Develop management policies, procedures, standards, and best practices Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals Experience: Building and supporting a MongoDB Ops Manager environment Implementing Kerberos and/or LDAP authorization and authentication with MongoDB Supporting MongoDB databases scaled across data centers. Supporting MongoDB Shards. With Pearl and/or Java scripting With backup and restore of MongoDB databases using LVM snapshots and Ops Manager backups In writing MongoDB Schema using Mongos. With setting and tuning MongoDB system parameters With using MongoDB Ops Manager With Jira and Agile delivery Additionally: In-depth understanding of MongoDB HA strategies, including replica sets. In-depth understanding of Replication and HA strategies Terraform/Ansible experience.
