Job Description: Overview: As a Business Analyst specializing in Logistics and Supply Chain, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing operations and enhancing efficiencies within our organization's supply chain processes. You will be responsible for analysing data, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights to improve logistics operations, reduce costs, and enhance overall supply chain performance. Responsibilities: Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets related to logistics and supply chain operations. Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of logistics processes. Utilize statistical methods and data visualization techniques to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement. Process Improvement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate current logistics processes and identify areas for optimization. Develop and implement strategies to streamline workflows, reduce bottlenecks, and improve overall efficiency. Conduct cost-benefit analysis for proposed process improvements and present recommendations to management. Forecasting and Demand Planning: Utilize historical data and market trends to forecast demand for products and materials. Work closely with procurement and inventory management teams to ensure adequate inventory levels while minimizing excess stock. Develop models and tools to optimize inventory allocation and distribution across the supply chain network. Supplier and Vendor Management: Evaluate supplier performance and conduct regular performance reviews to ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) and quality standards. Identify opportunities to consolidate suppliers, negotiate favorable contracts, and optimize procurement processes. Collaborate with vendors to implement best practices and drive continuous improvement in supplier performance. Technology Utilization: Assess the effectiveness of existing logistics and supply chain management systems. Identify opportunities to leverage emerging technologies such as blockchain, IoT, and machine learning to enhance visibility, traceability, and efficiency in the supply chain. Work with IT teams to implement and integrate new technologies into existing systems. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and disruptions within the supply chain, such as supplier shortages, transportation delays, or geopolitical issues. Develop contingency plans and risk mitigation strategies to minimize the impact of disruptions on operations. Monitor key risk indicators and implement proactive measures to address emerging threats. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field. Master's degree preferred. Proven experience as a Business Analyst or similar role, with a focus on logistics and supply chain operations. Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and interpretation. Familiarity with supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems). Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas and findings to stakeholders at all levels. Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in logistics and supply chain management. Certification in business analysis or supply chain management (e.g., CBAP, CPIM) is a plus.
