Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hadoop Architect/Solution Architect to join our dynamic team in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Hadoop architecture and solutions design, with a focus on migration and upgrade projects. This role requires expertise in Cloudera migration to PowerScale, coupled with a deep understanding of IT infrastructure and solution implementation. Job Description: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize Hadoop solutions on PowerScale infrastructure. Lead migration projects from Cloudera to PowerScale, ensuring seamless transition and minimal disruption to operations. Architect scalable and high-performance solutions that meet business requirements and adhere to best practices. Provide technical guidance and expertise to internal teams and clients on Hadoop architecture and solution design. Conduct system analysis, performance tuning, and troubleshooting to optimize Hadoop clusters. Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and continuous improvement. Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master's degree preferred. Proven experience as a Hadoop Architect or Solution Architect, with a focus on migrations and upgrades. Extensive knowledge of Hadoop ecosystem components, including HDFS, YARN, MapReduce, Hive, HBase, Spark, and Kafka. Hands-on experience with Cloudera migration to PowerScale or similar platforms. Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including storage, networking, and virtualization technologies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Proven track record of delivering successful Hadoop solutions in enterprise environments. Relevant certifications such as Cloudera Certified Professional (CCP) or Hortonworks Data Platform (HDP) Certification is a plus. Looking forward to hearing from you.
