| Hi Contract Role : GIS Developer Location: Oakland, CA (Hybrid) Must have skills: GIS Application development/GIS Operations. Developing and Maintaining our geospatial infrastructure, ensuring its efficiency, scalability, and integration with various systems. Desired/Secondary Skills : AWS Terraform, DevSecOps skills Responsibilities: As a GIS Developer, you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining critical components of our geospatial infrastructure. Develop Python scripts for replicating disconnected databases from Oracle on-premises to AWS Aurora PostgreSQL databases. Automate the publication of map services, streamlining the process for data visualization. Migrate applications from on-premises servers to AWS EC2 instances, ensuring smooth transition and cloud-based accessibility. Ensure all developed scripts and functionalities are compatible with ArcFM-enabled database objects and custom GIS extensions. Provide support for FME workflows, troubleshooting and resolving errors for efficient data transformation. Manage user tickets, providing technical assistance and resolving GIS-related issues. Participate in code reviews, ensuring high coding standards and best practices. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in geospatial technologies and integrate them into existing systems. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (GIS Analysts, Developers, etc.) to deliver successful projects.
