Our client, a telecommunications company located in Maryland Heights, MO is in need of an AWS Engineer on a 6 month contract-to-hire basis. The AWS Engineer will work onsite daily, joining a team that is supporting a new cutting-edge Teradata platform, and who are in the midst of migrating database and app servers to the cloud. The team is focused on data changes, table/attribute design, view creation, user management, user access, code deployments, environment refreshes, inbound and outbound ETL support, and UI enhancements. The AWS Engineers responsibilities will include ensuring the performance and reliability of the database, including performance tuning, monitoring, and error reporting, implementing appropriate backup and recovery mechanisms, performing environment refreshes, implementing code deployments in UAT, QA and production, creating MOPs for code deployments, addressing firewall tickets, data cataloging, SQL DB support, and AWS workloads. The team is in need of more engineers with in-depth knowledge of how to operate workloads in AWS Cloud. Required Skills: 4+ years experience of work experience focused on AWS Cloud and Cloud Security (preferably to include S3, EC2, and VPC) Experience migrating database and app servers to the cloud Multiple years experience with performance tuning, monitoring, error reporting, refreshes, and backup and recovery as it relates to AWS Proficient in performing smoke and regression testing Experience working with Linux and shell scripting Basic Java, Python, or XML programming language knowledge Thank you for your time and looking forward to hearing from you |
