| From: Mykel Warner, w3global [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Role: Oracle EPM Hyperion Data Engineer- Remote Application Team is looking for an experienced, customer-oriented, business-focused, and analytically driven Data Engineer to support the delivery of Essbase operations and project portfolios commitments. The Data Engineer will interface with teams, customer, and leaders alike to ensure seamless technological support of business process by ensuring the technologies we support are not an inhibitor to the business process for revenue planning, budgeting, forecasting and actuals at Product, Region, Segment level for key measures that drive finance success (Revenue, TX Count, TPV, TX Loss, TX Expense, TX Margin, etc.) . He/she must be able to contribute to programs/initiatives and collaborate with the financial stakeholders and users as well as internal technology teams to drive alignment around the organization . These accountabilities will be achieved through developing high trust relationships with internal and external customers, critical data analysis, attention to detail and a customer focus. Process development and optimization, as well as deliverables management will be a focus for the role. Technical Skills Required: 6+ years experience in Oracle 19C or 21C Iaas/Paas essbase applications. Additionally, 2+ years Oracle EPM Hyperion Planning design, development and administration. EPM Narrative and Management Reporting, Data Management, & EPM Automate experience. Knowledge in Oracle EPM Cloud and On Premises Hyperion Architecture using Hybrid Application methodology and Financial / Planning Modules. Must Have Proficient in writing complex code in Calculation Scripts & Business Rules. Nice to have Proficient in writing complex code in Groovy Scripting. Experience in components of EPBCS including metadata administration, outlines, dimensions, complex calculations, business rules, calculation scripts, creating snapshots, backups, data and artifact migrations, security setup and configuration, data forms, charts & graphs, menus, task lists, as part of application development and configuration. Experience in BSO, ASO & Hybrid cube design. Experience in Performance Optimization of Planning application which includes data load process / Business Rules / Cal script and reporting Methods. Experience in of creating financial reports (pdf), charts, pivots, dashboards, books, batches, snapshot reports etc. using financial reporting. Experience in automation, SQL, batch scripting and EPMAutomate. Experience in in automations of data Loads and integrations using FDMEE/data management. Experience on Metadata Upload Process through incremental files and creating automations to seamlessly load metadata. Ability to be proactive in providing alternatives based on best practices and application functionality. Financial process and functional knowledge required. Expert knowledge in analyzing business needs and developing solutions to support the business. Responsibilities Will serve as a SME in maintaining and enhancing organizations global budgeting, forecasting & long-term planning systems. Support multiple Planning and Consolidation applications in Oracle Essbase (IaaS/PaaS) and SaaS EPM Cloud environments. Responsible for performance tuning and optimization of Planning and Consolidation applications. Ability to work both individually and within a team environment. Proven experience in providing system support and direct contact with users to solve issues with business applications. Conduct testing, including system, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing. Prepare and maintain necessary documentation including design documents, test documentation, training materials, and administration/procedural guides. Develop Complex Business Rules in both calculation manager and Groovy. Script using Python/Groovy/CDM APIs and utilize EPM Automate to automate data admin activities. The Hyperion / Essbase Developer must have hands-on implementation, development and support experience, preferably gained within one or more financial institution. Skilled in Partitioning, automation, optimization and performance tuning of Essbase application data/metadata processing, upgrading, testing and migrating of cubes in different environment. Update logical and physical database designs with requested or required changes Provide input and expertise on architecting and designing system enhancements or creating new Develop and maintain Block Storage Outline / Aggregate Storage Outline (BSO/ASO) cubes Create and maintain data forms, calculation scripts, MAXL automation, schedule jobs using batch scripts and business rules. Expertise in writing custom Essbase calculations scripts, MDX scripts, automated the Essbase Cubes using MaxL, Esscmds and Batch Scripts.
