| Role: DB2/DBA Location: Remote Rate- $30/h C2C Looking for an DB2 DBA LUW starting in August for a six month contract with the possibility of an extension based on performance. Location of assignment is remote only with hours of coverage noted below. This could be filled by an offshore individual or team. Resources Hours 24 hours support EST 6 weeks per year (primarily to cover while employees are unavailable (vacation, training, etc.) - Will need coverage 24x7 when client employees are using Personal Time off. Daytime Minor Enhancements Half of the time, when exactly TBD Approximate hours 8 am to 5pm EST Job Duties Database DBA support for the EDW DB2 LUW databases.- - Database DBA support for all EDW environments - Troubleshoot, break-fix and on call support to meet SLAs, as follows: - Production and DR respond within 30 minutes. -QA respond within 2 hours. - Development respond within 24 hours. DB2 and DBA Services (Logical and Physical DBA) All within an On Call and Support role Responsibilities -Provide managed services to support DB2 LUW database environment. - DB2 database DBA support including DPF (Data Partitioning Facility) TSA (Tivoli System Automation). - Maintenance of all DB2 environments (Total 4). -Number of databases: 1 Active Production (SWDC), 1 Disaster Recovery Production (BLDC), 1 QA, 1 Dev -Database backup and recovery for DB2 databases using CommVault and scripts. - Data refresh for DB2 Disaster Recovery database. - Database configuration and administration for DB2 databases. - Database restores monthly from production to disaster recovery. - Address issues or questions across all in-scope DB2 environment. -Performance Tuning only for Production Support purposes. -Maintenance of database structures and monitoring. -Support of DB2 Clients connecting to DB2 LUW databases.
