A degree from an accredited College/University in the applicable field of services is preferred. four additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a college degree is required. If the individuals degree is not in the applicable field, then four additional years of related experience is required. Activities will include: Configure, administer, document DNS multi-view configuration, DHCP services. High level troubleshooting of network, protocols, and application issues IP mgmt., DNS, DHCP administration API scripting in python. Linux administration to include scripting and file system management. Adhere to strict Information Systems security guidelines in all cases. Works on high-visibility, or mission critical aspects of a given program, and performs all functional duties independently. Oversees the efforts of direct reporting resources and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job. Required Skills: HTTP proxy configuration, integration, and administration expertise. Preferred Broadcom Bluecoat DNS configuration, scripting of API calls. Preferred BlueCat Networks Strong understanding of TCP/IP, UDP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/s and HTTP proxy. IP Mgmt, DNS, DHCP configuration, scripting of API calls. Strong understanding of TCP/IP, UDP/IP, DNS, DHCP Knowledge of TCP, understanding network, protocol, and application traffic flows Ability to troubleshoot basic network issues including IPv6. Network knowledge. Network design and implementation. Network troubleshooting. Tracking budget expenses Project management Problem solving and analytical skills. Time-management skills Strong documentation skills LAN knowledge Network hardware configuration. Network performance tuning. Ability to maintain effective communication and working relationships with co-workers. Desired Skills: Experience with APIs, scripting, and Splunk data flows. Preferred Perl, python, and JavaScript. Strong understanding of DNS and DHCP Linux Proficient with application layer protocols HTTP, SSH, SSL, etc. BlueCat DNS Platform Infoblox DNS Education: A minimum of eight (8) to twelve (12) years relevant experience.
