Position Name ECU Diagnostics Engineer Duration 4 Months (the duration is going to be approx. 4 months and can get extended more if the launch dates get extended) Type of hiring Contract Location Foster City, CA (Onsite) Need resources skilled in ECUs, DTCs, DIDs, CAN bus. Job Description: Expertise in Automotive ECU Self diagnostics (DTC), experience in developing Diagnostic Specification Proficient in studying schematics, electrical wiring diagram and analyze different failure conditions for different types of interfaces. Understanding of HW D-FMEA Knowledge of CAN and UDS protocol Excellent interpersonal skill to communicate with multiple stakeholders / suppliers, understand way of implementation, finding gaps in terms of ECU self-diagnostics and documentation of findings Worked on vehicle diagnostic application development for ECUs and diagnostic tools. Review around 3000 clients ECUs Diagnostics attributes Development and testing of customer-specific OBD, UDS, WWHOBD and J1939 on CAN. Identify missing details according to industry standards and clients specifications Review DTCs, DIDs, log messages and other UDS services for ECU validation by conforming CAN/LIN bus protocols adherence. Interact with part owners, FW developers to identify the missing the data, complete the definitions and set work tickets to enable actions from stakeholders (FW/Validation) Manage Jira work tickets to fix found issues and release documentation Diagnostics documentation & requirement creation using DOORs in line with ISO 14229, Autosar and manufacturer specific.
