Position: Systems Architect (AWS & Azure) Visa- GC/USC only Our client only accepts a candidate who provides a professional background supporting the CDC, along with 4+ years experience in AWS and Azure cloud systems design, along with development experience in C++, Java, Python and SQL. The two-step interview process (on two separate days) begins with a regular phone call from Tenacity Solutions HR Dept., then you would perform a final MS Teams video interview with CDCs Development and Project Management Teams. An offer letter is anticipated by the first week of July 2024 to start the remote position on July 15, 2024. Tenacity is seeking a full time Systems Architect II to support a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Division of HIV Prevention (DHP) IT Systems Development, Maintenance, Enhancement, and Support opportunity. This position is contingent upon contract award. Systems Architect Responsibilities: Demonstrate knowledge of open systems architectures, the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) and ISO reference models, and standards such as the IEEE Open Systems Environment (OSE) reference model. Recommend technologies, turn-key solutions, and COTS products in coordination with CDC OCIO staff to deploy systems, and continuously reviewing the planned and implemented systems. Coordinate with CDC OCIO staff to deploy DHP systems on the CDC network according to enterprise operating standards. Continuously review the planned and implemented DHP information/data systems to achieve data standardization and harmonization among related systems or with other CDC systems capturing similar data. Ensure that the common operating environment is compliant with the Agency enterprise architecture and applicable reference models. Evaluate analytically and systematically problems of workflows, organization, and planning and develop appropriate corrective action. Collaborate with other stakeholders, such as software developers, project managers, and business analysts, to ensure that the system architecture aligns with the overall goals and requirements of the project. Manage / oversight of teams. Start Date: On or about July 1 Requirements: Education/Certifications: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related. Masters Degree is a plus. Experience: Required: Minimum of 4 years of IT systems experience with software development projects and a solid foundation in programming, algorithms, data structures, and systems design. Additionally, 4 years of experience in establishing system information requirements. Familiarity and experience with CDC and Division of HIV Prevention (DHP) is a plus. Three (3) years supervisory or team lead experience a plus. Behaviors: Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information.
