Job title: Lead Mobile Software Engineer Location: Remote Duration: 6 months Interview: Skype and Phone ANY VISA Note: Need Experience with Android, iOS, Kotlin, Java, Swift, Objective-C and Managing and building a teams Job Description Essential Position Purpose You will build and maintain features for the iOS and Android apps, serving as technical lead in a small Agile team. You will raise the bar by setting best practices for mobile development, testing, and deployment. You will organize work for the team given product requirements, reach consensus estimates, keep sprint commitments, and deliver working software in two-week iterations while communicating status daily. Key Position Accountabilities In this position you are accountable for: 1. Forming a small team of mobile engineers with iOS, Android, and quality assurance expertise. Establishing clear team norms, processes, metrics, and architecture direction to enable effective collaboration. o Setting test-, spec-, and domain-driven development best practices o Bringing a DevOps mindset for repeatability, scaling, and automation o Setting a high bar for security thinking and vulnerability patching o Enabling the team to continually improve process, tools, and documentation 2. Writing code as an individual contributor to build scalable features in Android and/or iOS, collaborating with product owners, UX designers, other engineers, and your manager to deliver working software rapidly. o Maintaining existing features with dependency updates, security patches, and test-driven refactoring when needed 3. Facilitating Agile sprints within the team and managing risk to deliver on-time. o Creating user stories and tasks, leading team estimation and technical design, making data-based sprint commitments, demonstrating delivered value each iteration, and running daily standups 4. Guiding other senior mobile engineers on competencies and intricacies of the mobile development lifecycle 5.
