Job Description -

Job Title: Jr. Desktop Support / Field Engineer

Total Estimated Assignment Hours: 

24-36 months

City: 

Working outside of Brooklyn or in the Bronx (Onsite). Available to travel in 5 boroughs of NY

Note: Need candidates having 4-5 years of experience with DL, VISA, AND LINKEDIN.

Responsibilities:

Desktop Support / Field Engineer will work in our services area monitoring and troubleshooting client backup systems.

This position will be preparing client workstation builds, as well as prep for deployment. Part of the day may also be fielding help desk calls with our support team. This relates to all technology, to include workstations, servers, printers, networks, and vendor specific hardware and software.

For implementations, you may be traveling to client locations (5 boroughs of NY) for onsite deployments.

Management and development of IT Field Support

Support the completion of technology aspects of continuous improvement initiatives where required.

Effectively manage direct reports to ensure tasks are performed in an efficient and safe manner in line with company standards.

Facilitate support to business through resolution of more complex application issues.

Support group IT as required & Development of technology solutions.

Diagnosis of technical issues

Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly.

Required Skills:

Good understanding and technical knowledge of current network and PC operating systems, hardware, protocols, and standards.

Working experience with Windows 10, Windows 11.

Experience setting up laptops, printers, badges.

Working Experience in Computer hardware inventory and ability to troubleshoot network connectivity.

3-4 years of experience as a Desktop Support / Field Engineer..

Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, related field or equivalent experience. 

Knowledge of common desktop applications such as MS Office Suite, Adobe products and Intuit products.

Excellent troubleshooting skills with different Operating Systems such as Windows 11, Windows 10, and MAC OSX.

Familiar with SAS solutions such as Office 365, G Suite and Adobe CC.

Candidate must have a car to travel at different client locations.

Must have

 one or more of the following certifications:

CompTIA A+

CompTIA Network+

Highly Desired Skills:

Strong leadership skills.

Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.

Exceptional knowledge of computer hardware, software and peripherals

Deep-seated experience with desktop and server operating systems

Proven track record of developing and providing Service Level Agreements and Help Desk deliverables.

Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail.

Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Demonstrated ability to apply IT in solving business problems.

Strong understanding of human resource management principles, practices, and procedures.
