| Job Title : Project Manager for Special Projects Location : Philadelphia, PA (Market Street)- need local Position Type: Onsite Hourly Rate: $55/hr. Visa : USC and GC Overview: The City of Philadelphia is seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager for Special Projects to join our team. This role will be instrumental in analyzing and documenting business needs and processes, organizing around problems and opportunities, planning and remediating troubled special projects, and ensuring the successful planning, launch, and execution of new initiatives in support of efforts by the Chief Information Officer (CIO) on behalf of the Mayor. Responsibilities: - Analyze and document business needs and processes to identify areas for improvement and optimization. - Organize around problems and opportunities, leading efforts to address challenges and capitalize on opportunities. - Plan and remediate troubled special projects, utilizing leadership qualities such as conflict and issue resolution to ensure successful project lifecycles. - Lead project teams effectively, coordinating efforts among staff from various departments and agencies participating in project initiatives. - Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with stakeholders and senior business leadership of participating departments and agencies. - Demonstrate expertise in the design and building of distributed and enterprise solutions to support project objectives. Required Skills: - Demonstrated leadership qualities, including conflict and issue resolution, and the ability to run projects or serve as project manager on program teams. - Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders and senior business leadership. - Exceptional organizational skills, capable of working effectively with project teams composed of staff from participating departments and agencies. - Experience and relevant expertise in the design and building of distributed and enterprise solutions. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Computer Science, Project Management) preferred. - Proven experience in project management, preferably in a government or public sector environment. - PMP certification or equivalent is a plus. - Proficiency in project management tools and software. - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
