Create effective test plans, test data and test cases for functional testing and end-to-end testing of Big Data Jobs Perform Big Data testing on Hadoop, Hive and HBase and document the test results. Articulate test cases and test results to leadership and development teams Excellent written and verbal communication skills Requirements 5-7 years of experience in Big data Testing methodologies 5+ years' experience working with SQL and NoSQL data bases. Experience working Big Data Echo System Tools- HDFS, Hive, Spark, HBase etc. Strong background in functional testing with the ability to design and develop test strategy and test cases. Experience working in a Big Data environment, dealing with large diverse data sets. Ability to identify defects in edge-case scenarios. Excellent analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills in large data warehousing environments. Excellent written, verbal communication skills, including experience in technical documentation and ability to communicate with senior business managers and executives. Good understanding of various Big Data file formats Ability to use Unix/Linux command line programs and create/edit scripts.
