Job role : SAP BODS Location : Remote Job Description : Must have minimum 10+ years of experience with least 4 project Implementation in SAP BODS (currently Data Services) ETL tool. Excellent Understanding of Application Development Life Cycle and expertise in Data Modeling and Data warehouse and ETL applications. Working knowledge of all the SAP BODS transformations and Experience of BODS scripting. Well versed in using Data Services designer to extract and load data in formats such as Flat Files, Excel work sheets, XML, json from SharePoint and Data Bases like HANA, DB2, Oracle, SQL server. Experience in BODS Designer Components- Projects, Jobs, Workflow, Data Flow, Scripts, Data Stores and Formats. To be Proficient in analyzing and translating business requirements to technical requirements and architecture and able to provide BODS estimation effort. Worked extensively on mapping documents (after re-verify with clients) and create the HLD and LLD documents for the developer. Well versed with Data Quality and Data Movement Control activities in BODS. Should have experience in Performance tuning and Job run time optimization. Bridging technical gaps of the developers and ensuring technical standard is met in the entire delivery. Client communication and team management. Preferred Skills/Experience: Participate in project estimation, provide inputs for solution delivery, perform code reviews and unit test plan reviews. Provide SAP Data Services development support to larger development team. Exposure in BODS performance tuning techniques using parallel processing (Degree of Parallelism), Multithreading, Partitioning, and Database Throughputs to improve job performance Experience in different types of transformations like Query transformation, Merge, Case, Validations, Map- operation, History Preserving and Table Comparison transformations. Extensive knowledge of Job schedule automation tools like Redwood. Experience in code version management tools like Gitlab. Understanding of common business functional areas especially on Finance and Banking domains. Experience Required: 10-12 years of total IT experience. At least 10 years of SAP Data Services Experience. Roles & Responsibilities: Development project for SAP Data Services ETL tool, understand job SAP BODS Design documents and architecture, participate in project estimation, give inputs in solution delivery, perform code reviews and Unit Test reviews, delivery ownership and walk extra mile proactively for delivery excellence, perform impact analysis and implementing resolution in change requests and issues/incidents, perform Unit Testing and participate in SIT and UAT, own post go-live issues and solve the issues, perform querying in database level for high degree of analysis work, understanding and implementation knowledge in Data Warehouse using SAP BODS and post-implementation warranty support.
