[email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Position: Software Engineer Location: Salem OR Duration: 12 Months Client: DHS Need 10+ years Candidate Need Local Candidate Remote work/Telecommuting will be contingent upon the key person providing their own adequate office equipment and connectivity. Interviews will be conducted via MS Teams. Interview times will reflect Pacific Standard Time. Due to circumstances beyond our control, we anticipate two weeks or more for the background check completion for the selected candidate. Scope: The Office of Financial Services is requesting expansion of eXPRS to support several requests that have been added to the eXPRS development backlog. These requests are required to allow OFS to maintain additional funding rules requirements such as PERC codes and Continuous Eligibility, meet CMS reporting requirements such as TMSIS, enhance mass adjustments to support additional features such as Paid Date, enhance eXPRS to SFMA interface to meet additional requirements such as new payee type and adjustments, created additional efficiencies in the management of the tens of thousands of funding rules handled by eXPRS, and correct several issues that have been identified. eXPRS must support Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) requirements for Personal Support Workers (PSW). Provider Liability Accounts (PLAs) in eXPRS do not currently allow flexibility in expanding the PSW PLAs to adhere to the regularly changing and expanding requirements of the CBA. Work will be required to split the eXPRS PSW and Agency PLA into separate modules, thereby allowing the Operations and Maintenance team to ensure the PSW PLAs adhere to the CBA rules. Therefore, the Key Person shall revamp the financial maintenance system in eXPRS, including interface work, accounts recovery and financial indicators. Therefore, the Key Person shall enhance PSW Liability in eXPRS to meet Collective Bargaining Agreement requirements. Audit existing data systems: models, queries, data quality, security, etc. and provide recommendations and a suggested roadmap for modernization. Tasks: Key Person shall: Develop and deliver updates to eXPRS application. This includes software code changes and documentation. Complete and document required enhancements, defect corrections, batch code, and code modifications Draft and deliver Technical Specifications documents that meet the technical requirements. Participate in regular planning and review meetings with Authorized Agencys Solution Development and Delivery (SDD) eXPRS team. Write and review the test plans and test scripts and make necessary changes as needed. Perform unit testing to ensure requirements are met and changed code works as specified. Follow Authorized Agencys existing requirements management, design, development and issue tracking processes and development standards (including naming conventions). Document in the Azure DevOps tracking system any issues identified in testing and their resolution taken to resolve the issues. Conduct end to end system testing as well as end to end system integration testing. Required skills and experience: A highly skilled Java developer with expert-level knowledge and experience with WebSphere Liberty 9 and Java 11 (10+ years of experience) Expert understanding of IBM DB2 UDB systems and concepts (10+ years of experience) Proficient with Eclipse IDE Liberty 9 Plug In (10+ years of experience) J2EE (10+ years of experience) Proficient with Git source control concepts Bachelor's degree in area of specialty At least six years of equivalent experience in the field or in a related area Keywords: microsoft Software Engineer-OR-DHS-Remote [email protected] |
