Worked on preparing cluster, configuring and Installation of Cluster ware and Oracle RAC on Red Hat Linux. Startup and Shutdown of Individual instances on RAC database using Enterprise ManagerGood-to-Have Working Knowledge of Non-SQL databases like MSSQL, DB2 DBA, MongoDBSN Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role 1 Performing database installation, configuration, upgrade, and migration2 Implement and maintain database security 3 Manage High Availability solutions like Clusters (RAC), Replication, Golden Gate, Galera etc.4 Apply Service Packs, Hot Fixes and Security Patches 5 Identify Performance problems and do Performance Tuning6 Perform Capacity Planning for the database system7 Design, develop, and implementing Backup and Restore strategies8 Design customized jobs for the task automation9 Design, review, and update database related documentation10 Perform mission critical point-in-time restore in case of disaster11 Enable Monitoring on all critical database components using standard tools and scripts12 Identify repeated problems/issues and provide their permanent solutions13 Provide Global On-call Support.
