Summary:

The Software Engineer, III is a Workday Techno-Functional Engineer with strong experience performing Workday integrations using EIB, Core Connector, API, Workday Studio and packaged integrations and Advanced experience performing complex configuration within multiple Workday modules, including Core HCM, Payroll, Recruiting, Compensation, Benefits, Talent, and Performance Management. We use Agile Methodologies to enable our engineering team to work closely with partners and with our design & product teams. 

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities include:

Perform advanced configuration within multiple Workday modules, including Core HCM, Payroll, Recruiting, Compensation, Benefits, Onboarding.

Security point of contact on HR projects and enhancements providing security role design guidance and best practices.

Build and maintain complex Workday integrations/API.

This position will strive towards maximizing efficiency and improving security processes while modifying existing and developing new security configuration functionality, as well as managing the changes throughout the development life cycle by working with both internal and external teams that include both functional and technical resources.

Understand business needs, gather/document business requirements, assess Workday Security configuration feasibility and impact to other Workday configuration, develop, coordinate and document testing, delivery accurately to business clients, and provide post deployment support.

Participate and support other HR and Systems projects and initiatives as needed, including VNDLY and Darwinbox.

Stay up to date on Workday releases, partner with the business to discuss new functionality, and then implement enhancements as directed by leadership.

Conduct regular audits on Workday access to ensure accuracy and compliance and respond to requests for security audits as needed.

Develop and document internal HR Technology Standard operating procedures.

Document Workday and other HR systems integration flows and identify/implement opportunities to reduce waste and risks.

Provide support with Workday release security testing as needed and review of new security functionality for usage.

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent is preferred, 8+ year of experience in building and working on large scale distributed systems or Masters degree in Computer Science or related field with 5 years of relative experience.

Capable of designing and coding highly efficient and scalable enterprise software and services.

Minimum 5 plus years of experience configuring Workday security with demonstrated functional and technical experience.

Expertise in research, design, configuration, testing, and deployment of Workday security functionality

Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with others; conducts working relationships in a manner acceptable to others and to the organization in a globally distributed, culturally diverse development environment, and communicate with all levels of the orga

Ability to provide a proactive and independent approach to problem-solving, identifying opportunities for system improvement and driving initiatives without constant supervision.

Ability to organize and prioritize job responsibilities to meet deadlines in an environment with overlapping and potentially conflicting priorities.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as policy and procedure manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and solve a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardizations exists. Ability to intemperate a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Customer Service Relationships:

Assesses and diffuses problem situations and requires influencing others to reach consensus. Requires tact and diplomacy to handle difficult customer relationships. Explores alternatives and creative solutions to meeting the needs of customers.
