Your role will leverage your people skills and system administrator expertise to improve the technology supporting healthcare, ensuring that knowledge objects (dashboards, alerts, etc.) are properly configured to identify and address areas for improvement in the system architecture. Duties/Responsibilities: Develop and manage observability solutions to increase system performance and reliability. Configure knowledge objects (dashboards, alerts, etc.) to help identify areas for improvement in system architecture. Continuously seek ways to enhance the platform using the latest technology and best implementation strategies. Identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical network. Turn metrics into actionable information and explain their significance to the team. Broaden your skillset by exploring observability in a system of systems operated in the cloud. Share expertise through leadership and mentoring, helping the team work through challenges and develop new methodologies. Identify new opportunities to modernize the network to help clients achieve their goals. Work collaboratively to resolve daily challenges and improve healthcare for millions of consumers. Education: Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university in the specific discipline required by the State. General Experience: Proven experience in supporting consumer-facing systems, ensuring high availability and performance. Proficient in using monitoring and logging tools such as Splunk, New Relic, Dynatrace, and AWS CloudWatch. Hands-on experience with cloud and container-based systems, including AWS EC2, AWS PaaS, and Red Hat OpenShift. Skilled in utilizing Atlassian tools, particularly Jira and Confluence, for project management and collaboration. Strong knowledge of Splunk platform configuration and installation, particularly for large-scale systems. Demonstrated ability to isolate and resolve performance issues within Splunk Core or Splunk ITSI. Experienced in developing and maintaining Splunk ITSI Glass Tables for comprehensive monitoring and visualization. Ability to attain and maintain Public Trust Clearance. Specialized Experience: Observability Platform System Administrator Demonstrated experience working with the Center for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS), including compliance with CMS regulations and standards. Proven experience supporting and managing e-commerce platforms, ensuring seamless transaction processes and platform stability. Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, including Packer and Terraform, for automating the build and deployment of systems. Expertise in configuring, managing, migrating, and developing Splunk Knowledge Objects, enhancing data visibility and analysis. Extensive experience with observability platforms such as New Relic, Dynatrace, Data Dog, and AWS CloudWatch, including configuration, management, and migration. Certifications: Certified Splunk Enterprise Certified Admin. Splunk Enterprise Certified Architect. Splunk Core Certified Consultant.
