As a cloud data architect, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing our data architecture in Azure cloud environment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams of data scientists and data engineers to ensure that our data solutions align with business objectives and innovation. Responsibilities: Lead the design and implementation of data solutions in Azure and develop scalable and high-performance data architecture to deliver the latest in machine learning, AI, and other emerging technology solutions. Utilize Azure cloud resources efficiently to ensure cost effective solutions. Provide technical vision, technical solutions and directions to build modern Machine Learning Platforms, Tooling and Services for ML/AI at Scale. Integrate data from various sources, both on-premises and in the cloud and design efficient data storage and retrieval mechanisms. Develop strategies for handling large volumes of streaming data while maintaining low latency and high availability. Support the end-to-end implementation of machine learning models. Optimize data structures and schemas for efficient data processing. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, data analysts, and business stakeholders, to understand their data needs and provide effective solutions. Maintain detailed documentation of data architecture, solutions, and processes. Provide training and guidance to team members on best practices. Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of the data solutions. Implement performance tuning and data caching strategies. Keeping up to date with the latest Azure cloud technologies and best practices and recommend and implement relevant technologies and tools. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A masters degree is a plus. 5+ years of experience in an architecture or engineering role focusing on machine learning models and deploying them into production at scale. Expertise in Python and SQL, with working experience in Apache Spark, Hadoop, Databricks, Snowflake, or other big data systems Experience working with DevOps on prem or in cloud environments, including but not limited to Deep understanding of compute, storage, networking, Docker/Containers, Kubernetes, cloud APIs and IaaS Experience with orchestration frameworks. Strong problem-solving skills and troubleshooting abilities. Self-motivated individual that thrives in a dynamic environment. Preferred: Experience working with designing and implementing data pipelines for real-time data ingestion, processing and analytics using Azure services (e.g., Azure Stream Analytics, Azure Event Hubs, Azure Databricks, Azure Functions).
