Note : RECENT MARKETPLACE EXPERIENCE IS MANDATORY

We are seeking an experienced performance testing engineer to lead a team of performance engineers. This role 

involves managing and overseeing day-to-day tasks and delivery, conducting performance analysis of systems, and 

identifying additional test needs for the client's system of systems. You will coordinate multiple testing events 

involving various application developers and integrate testing coordination across multiple systems. The role includes 

reviewing and identifying functional capabilities of releases and determining the required test coverage, such as 

network, compute, and storage performance requirements, to ensure business logic is enabled for large-scale 

consumer-facing systems.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Assess and review test coverage for systems comprising a complex health insurance marketplace.

 Collaborate with other engineering management teams to validate configuration prior to test events.

 Apply advanced consulting skills, extensive technical expertise, and industry knowledge to test a system of systems.

 Develop innovative solutions to complex problems.

 Work independently with minimal direction; mentor and possibly supervise team members.

Lead a team of performance engineers, managing and providing oversight for day-to-day tasks and delivery.

Conduct performance analysis of systems and release activities to identify additional test needs.

Coordinate across multiple testing events involving multiple application developers to facilitate testing activities.

Lead and integrate testing coordination across multiple systems.

Review and identify functional capabilities of releases and determine the required test coverage.

 Identify network, compute, and storage performance requirements to enable business logic for large-scale consumer-facing systems.

Education:

Bachelor's degree and 5+ years related experience or Master's degree and 3+ years related experience. Years of 

experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree for certain roles.

 Certifications may be accepted in lieu of a degree for certain technical roles.

General Experience:

Proven experience in supporting e-commerce platforms or large-scale transactional consumer-facing systems.

 Expertise in coordinating comprehensive technical and performance testing events, including troubleshooting 

performance testing observations and issues.

 Proficient with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, New Relic, Dynatrace, and AWS CloudWatch.

Experience managing systems and tracking multiple efforts simultaneously, including AWS EC2, AWS PaaS, Red Hat 

OpenShift, API Gateways, and similar technologies

 Demonstrated ability to lead a team of performance engineers and project management delivery team members.

 Experience working in Agile and dynamic environments, utilizing Atlassian tools (e.g., Jira and Confluence).

Proficient in Microsoft productivity tools such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Strong understanding of complex applications and optimization strategies within a cloud computing environment, 

with the ability to provide actionable recommendations to development teams and external system interface 

providers during troubleshooting activities.

 Capability to identify performance bottlenecks, provide remediation recommendations, and lead performance 

testing calls with clients and multiple development teams. Clearly communicate the impact of performance efforts 

across web interfaces.

Ability to attain Public Trust Clearance.

Specialized Experience: 

Experience supporting the Center for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS).

Proven ability to quickly grasp new concepts and technologies, demonstrating a rapid learning curve.

Skilled in identifying integration touchpoints between systems and tracing downstream/upstream impacts.

Experienced in reviewing and validating capacity planning projections, as well as performing data analysis of 

performance testing objectives to ensure system readiness.

Effective in facilitating meetings and troubleshooting calls with large and diverse audiences, ensuring clear 

communication and resolution of issues.

Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team of performance engineers, providing oversight on day-to day tasks, and conducting regular meetings to discuss current and upcoming work.
