(The languages, script tools listed below can be learned and are secondary to this requirement) From the manager: His only real requirement is that we find him a 93K expert he is not concerned with prior experience with languages or tools listed on the job description (C++, Java, Python, Perl) those can all be learned LATER He needs someone to come in and serve as the SME (Subject Matter Expert) with the 93K tester and communicate with their customers directly regarding any issues they are having with it There is NO WAY it can be full remote or from San Jose/SF Bay this position is onsite in Austin ONLY; the job can possibly be 2/3 onsite a week but the engineer needs to be on call to come in Mon thru Fri, 8am to 5pm Central DO NOT send candidates that worked on the 93K tester 5 years ago, 10 years ago, 15 years ago that will NOT work Needs to be recent experience with the product in order for the candidate be able to perform the duties Job Description:- Work on next generation ATE solutions and semiconductor devices, supporting customers in getting their digital test requirements turned into reality. Work on cutting edge technology working side by side with our customers in close collaboration with R&D and marketing in a cross-functional, international environment. This role is ideal for a software or electrical engineer with a strong test engineering background, requiring both in depth knowledge of the V93000 system, as well as strong SW skills for writing test programs and tooling to meet customer needs. Responsibilities: Develop test programs (Java/C++) for digital devices on the 93k platform. Support customers on debugging and resolving SmarTest SW issues. Write scripts (perl/python) and tools to assist customers in improving their process quality and time to market. Clearly communicate the strengths, solutions, and roadmap strategy to our customers, addressing technical challenges that arise on a daily basis. Requirements: Bachelor's or foreign degree equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related.
