Position:100% Remote Informix DB Developer Location: 100% remote (EST working hours) Duration:Long Term. Job Description: Position Summary: Our client is looking for an experienced Informix DB Developer to provide support, design, and maintenance to the companys existing Informix DB and related programs. Skill with ESQL/C and PowerBuilder are required. Bourne shell scripting and AIX would be a plus. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Support and maintenance of Informix DB as required. Proactively monitor and maintain the database processes to ensure the highest possible application and database integrity. Implement database improvements and modifications in line with project timescales. Work with others in the development team to design enhancements Minimum Skills, Knowledge, and Ability Requirements: Strong and current ESQL-C/InformixSQL experience is critical (batch processing/data conversion environments) Working knowledge of the C programming language. Experience working with PowerBuilder. Working knowledge of Informix DBA practices and procedures is desirable. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Strong understanding of database mapping and querying tools. Strong interpersonal, communication (both oral and written), and presentation skills.
