Job Description - Role: Power BI Consultant Location: Louisville, Kentucky (Hybrid) ( please share locals ) LinkedIn needed 5 years of candidate will work Skills: Position Overview: We are seeking a Senior Power BI Consultant to join our dynamic team in Louisville, Kentucky. As a key player, you will collaborate with business stakeholders to transform raw data into actionable insights. If you're passionate about leveraging BI tools and enjoy working in a collaborative environment, this role is for you! Position Responsibilities: Understand business stakeholders' objectives and design data models to translate metrics and raw data into meaningful insights. Identify KPIs with clear objectives and consistently monitor them. Develop visually interactive reports and dashboards using tools like SQL, Power BI, or similar platforms. Design, develop, and deploy Power BI scripts, conducting efficient detailed analysis. Perform DAX queries and functions in Power BI for advanced analytics. Create charts and document data with algorithms, parameters, models, and relations explanations. Conduct data warehouse development to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval. Perform SQL querying for optimal results in data extraction and manipulation. Utilize filters and graphs to enhance data understanding. Define and design new systems by analyzing current ETL processes. Implement technical changes to existing BI systems to enhance functionality. Create technical documentation for reporting and data requests as needed. Train analysts and business users on report usage and interpretation. Other duties as assigned . Position Requirements: Education: Associate degree in computer science or information systems, supplemented with relevant work experience. Experience: Extensive knowledge and expertise in business intelligence, databases, and technical aspects of BI tools. Degree of Supervision: Minimal. Special Skills & Qualifications: Over two years of experience in data preparation, data gateway, and data warehousing projects. Proficiency with the Microsoft Business Intelligence Stack (Power BI, SSAS, SSRS, and SSIS). Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
